Here is a little video that shows highlights from the 2011 Volunteer Trip. The video stalls a bit, but if you are attentive, you will see:

 

• Children playing a tune with their new band instruments
• A glimpse at the yet-to-be-completed room for computer classes as part of the vocational training institute
• A look at the many computers that Nathan Thomas has provided to the school
• The Graduation Celebration for the seventh grade class, featuring dances, speeches and presentations for the two students who achieved high national honors
• Scenes from a day trip and planning meeting at Bujagali Falls on the Nile River

African Rural Schools Foundation USA Goes on the Radio!

On Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010 Hanan Bulime and three Americans (Mzungus) Rev. Waun, Del Rodrigquez and Bob Rodgers were guests on a radio show and had a great time. It was a 30 minute radio program that goes out to about 2 million listeners! It airs on a family-oriented Christian radio station based in Kampala. This was a way of promoting the school. The program was first called “Every Child Deserves an Education” but he changed the name to “Thinking” so that the topic could include leadership pointers and other subjects that the listeners might be interested in. It is also a call-in show where listeners can make comments and get questions answered on the air.
