We Have a Nurse at the School!  Meet Nurse Mary Kisinde

 

Mary started her duties at the school on October 1, 2011 and she is supervising the health care of the children and staff.  We are grateful to have our school clinic equipped and ready at last!

Our 2010 volunteers and the school staff, under the direction of Nurse Del Rodrigquez organized and equipped a nurse's office at the New ABC Divine Foundation Primary School.

The volunteers painted the interior walls and the school carpenter made the furniture for the 2 bed facility. There is a reception area, an office and a sick bay (click on image below for enlarged sketch).

Dr. Mina from Uganda Cares is providing a medical team that will test all the children and their families for HIV, give them treatment for as long as they live, and organize peer support groups - all free of charge.

 

We are now providing simple first aid and blood testing for disease analysis right here in our school clinic.
