A wonderful student named Nathan Thomas from Findlay, Ohio has been refurbishing computers for ABC Divine Foundation School in Uganda. What a fabulous project!
Nathan has also been selling Ugandan beaded bracelets to his fellow students as well as writing grants to get funds for postage, transformers and other equipment. We give Nathan high honors for all the great work he has been doing for our school!
In June of 2011 Nathan went to the school to set up the computer lab, to monitor projects and to deliver gifts to the children and staff. Here is what the new lab now looks like, with the help of Nathan and the people who donated computers for him to refurbish and send to Uganda!
Nathan took lots of good used leather shoes in his luggage. The children were thrilled!
Computer Classes in Native Lugandan: A computer consultant is working with our school to provide software that can translate basic computer commands from English into the native Luganda language, making it possible for villagers who are illiterate in English to access the computer. We will teach basic computer classes to villagers to raise money for our computer program for the students at our school.
